Ramadan Kareem

I'd like to wish everyone a warm Ramadan greeting. Ramadan is an austere time, the purpose of which is to help an individual learn discipline, tolerance and strength, both of the mond and the body. A muslim is to fast from sunrise until sunset during which time he/she may not eat or drink, apart from a few other prohibitions. During the fast, one must learn to restrain one's anger, eating habits, and increase tolerance for others. After 30 days of living through this daily cycle of restraint and order, one's mind and body become strong. Hence, this is a time for accomplishing many personal goals. Once again, Ramadan Kareem to all the Muslim brothers and sisters. Before I leave, I'd like to share this important Ayat with you all.

"O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that ye may (learn) self-restraint,-" (2:183) - The Holy Qur'an.
